When we began work on our humble project on the corner of Edgewood + BLVD back in 2009, we were stepping into an urban terra incognita of sorts. We were drawn to the raw beauty of the Edgewood corridor, and with it the opportunity to create something special; a place where one could eat, drink and listen with equal alacrity.
Four years in, we’ve seen our beloved avenue flourish without losing that keen edge that drew us in initially. We’ve dined, danced and downed more than a few cocktails with you all, and in the process, we’ve built a stronghold for quality nightlife in ATL. And when I say ‘we’, I mean ‘YOU’.
To express our gratitude to you, our loyal ST family, we’ve gone to considerable lengths to exceed your lofty expectations. We’ve been fortunate to be able to coerce our good friend from Tokyo, Shuya Okino, to come play for us. It’s been nearly a decade since we had the pleasure of his musical company, so this is certainly a rare pleasure!
We’re also giving you a bit of contextual grounding for this Shibuya-style experience with a menu of Shinjuku street food inspired bites, along with our favorite Japanese beers and Sakes. Oh, and let’s not forget the cocktails.
Dinner service runs from 7p until midnight, and the dancefloor gets going around 11p. We hope you’ll join us in celebrating 4 years of lamping on the corner.
Some things just make sense. This is one of those things.
We’re pleased to welcome Chef Matt Abergel and Lindsay Jang of the venerable Yardbird restaurant in Hong Kong for a single night of exceptional food, custom cocktails and heavy, heavy music.
Chef Abergel, who cut his teeth at NYC’s legendary Masa Sushi (the first sushi bar ever to have garnered 3 Michelin stars) opened Yardbird with his partner Lindsay Jang back in the summer of 2011 to great approbation. His focus on simple, detailed dishes along with the freshly minimal look of the place soon had throngs of the hip and the hungry queuing up down the block. Earlier this year, Yardbird was named one of the top 50 restaurants in Asia.
Now, on the heels of a feature dinner at NYC’s Food and Wine Festival, the Yardbird crew will be collaborating with us for a singular dining experience ‘neath the cover of October skies. Abergel will be creating a menu based around the freshest local pastured poultry from Grassroots Farms, and bar manager Navarro Carr will be working out a focused, delicious selection of cocktails designed specifically to pair with the meal, along with premium Beer and Sake from the masters at Ryujin Shuzo.
There will be two seatings available, at 7p & 9p, and seating will be strictly limited. Please contact us at email@example.com to reserve your seat today. As an added enticement, all diners will receive complimentary admission to the late-night show featuring dj sets from Pat Mahony (DFA, LCD Soundsystem) and Eug (Public Release, FACE).
